Is Audi the car for the Iron Man? The answer is literally yes – for the R8, S5 and Q7 models all appeared in the film. And when it comes to I Robot, the RSQ is there too. For Audi is all about man and machine meeting and hitting it off with power and glory.

And this is not just fictional glory. This is the sports car maker that has won every "Petit Le Mans" race this millennium. What you see on the silver screen has been matched by success on the track. But it's not just that rapid motors are in the blood when it comes to Audi: Whether sports or in the premium class, these are the cars of winners.

Recognition

Audi has been appearing at shows like Frankfurt for decades with many models to make the eyes light up. The A5 provides some of that high-quality recognition. In the 2009 Auto Express New Car Awards the A5 Cabriolet was 'highly commended' in the best convertible category.

The RS5 could be the car for those who fancy some real speed, with the maker describing it as a vehicle that "adopts supercharged V6 power to maximise efficiency without diluting driving pleasure", combining a 29.1 miles per gallon fuel efficiency with a top speed of 155 mph. This is Audi at its best. Speed, power, efficiency - Vorsprung Durch Technik indeed.

As for the A7 Saloon, it will be one of the new cars available in 2010. Writing for the Daily Express after this year's Detroit Motor Show, Nat Barnes said the vehicle was "gorgeous", adding: "The A7 also features an interesting new 'face' for Audi with a revised, bolder front grille together with pillarless windows and a panoramic glass roof."

So for those who love a car with speed and power, Audi, it seems, can offer plenty of beauty and style as well.
